Getting My Life Sorted

Well not all of my life just a small part of it.  Over the years I have amassed a collection of beads, new and old.

Such as pieces of costume jewelry kept ready to be broken up and used for some as yet unknown project. Pearls, lots of pearls? Some are even family pieces. But I have looked very carefully and could not find any marked Faberge or Dior so no hidden treasure to make my fortune on The Antiques Roadshow!

They have been stored in various boxes, plastic bags and unsuitable containers. So I woke up on Sunday morning and decided today would be the day to sort all of them out.  Throw away anything too broken or just not nice and keep a thinned out collection of those I might use.

I even sorted the pearls by size and hue. Some were too far gone even for doll projects. But I still have plenty left.

A Find

I went out food shopping the other day and low and behold what did I spot in our tiny local supermarket. Something I just could not resist. Colourfull, bright, jolly and just asking to be bought.

My other half did not seem so impressed by them? I go out to buy practical things like food and end up buying these. But no amount of explaining that they were sooo pretty or that they will be soooo usefull seemed to bring any understanding.

I spent far to much time sorting and filing them away into there new containers but it left me feeling content.

Now everything is so neat and sorted I don’t want to use any it would spoil the perfect order of things.
